  • Deception Pass Park (map)

Guided Hike

7/4  11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.Amphitheater

Join us for our slow-paced, family-friendly,  one hour, 0.9 mile guided hike along the North Beach Trail. Beginning at the Amphitheater, we will walk through a beautiful old growth forest and explore local wildlife, plants, geology, and history as we make stops along the way.

This is a one-way hike that ends at the North Beach Parking Lot. Feel free to join us as we walk back to the amphitheater along the beach, take the same trail back, or even explore the bridge. We hope to see you there!

Stop on by our Discovery Center at Rosario anytime from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. to check out the displays or talk to our expert volunteers from Deception Pass Park Foundation.

Located in a historic CCC bathhouse, this cozy building is jam packed with animal pelts, microscopes, tide pool critters, and a coloring table. A visit here should be on your must-do list while in the park.

The Discovery Center is sponsored by Deception Pass Park Foundation.

Junior Ranger Program

7/4   2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Amphitheater

Join us at the Amphitheater for our family-friendly Junior Ranger programs. Beginning at 2:00 p.m., these programs offer kids of all ages a chance to learn about local trees, wildlife, ecosystems, etc. depending on the week.

Each program includes a mini-lesson, fun activity, and a craft. The best part is, everyone walks away with their very own, very official Junior Ranger Badge. We hope to see you there!
